Jobless Total Down 3.3% in November Year-on-Year

The jobless total was down again in November after increasing in the month before for the first time since February.

A total of 7,646 persons were registered at the Employment Service last month, which is 41.4% less than in October and 16.2% less than in November 2013.

This number included 1,466 first job seekers, 1,232 permanently redundant workers and workers from bankrupt companies and 3,850 persons whose fixed-term contracts expired.

The Employment Service meanwhile deleted 8,136 persons from its record last month, of which 4,955 found a job, which is 21% less than in October and 4.6% less year-on-year.

In the first eleven months of the year, 91,773 registered anew at the Employment Service, which is 5.8% less than in the same period in 2013.

A total of 100,377 persons were meanwhile deleted from the record in the January-November period, of which 69,916 found employment, which is 13.6% more than in the same period last year.
