Tepeš managed a massive 231-metre leap in the second series to jump from sixth to third place, overtaking compatriot Prevc, who landed at only 195 metres in the second series to drop a place.

Freund had jumps of 227.5 and 210 metres for a combined score of 420.5 points, 26.1 points ahead of second-placed Stefan Kraft of Austria, who had jumps of 224 and 197.5 metres.

Tepeš scored 390.2 points, ahead of Prevc's 372.4. Slovenia's Jernej Damjan was also in the top-10, finishing seventh with a score of 354.9 points.
