Pahor called for close and sincere cooperation for the benefit of both nations and countries as well as for peace and security in the broader neighbourhood, the president's office wrote in a press release.

Grabar Kitarović, who beat incumbent President Ivo Josipović by a hair's length, invited Pahor to her inauguration, scheduled for 18 February.

Pahor meanwhile also rang up Josipović, thanking him for excellent cooperation and his direct contribution to the strengthening of the friendly ties between the two countries.
