Prevc was within reach of the top spot having been almost level with first series leader Severin Freund, but he landed short in the second series, missing the top spot by almost ten metres.

Freund ended up winning the event ahead of Austrian Stefan Kraft to come within 100 points of Prevc in the leaderboard.

Kraft remains at the top of the overall rankings with 1163 points, with Prevc 49 points behind.

Three other Slovenians were in the points today. Nejc Dežman finished 13th, Jernej Damjan 19th and Jurij Tepeš 21st.

One more race is scheduled in Titisee-Neustadt Sunday.
