Fak held off Simon Schempp of Germany and Olympic champion Martin Fourcade of France in the final stages of the race to secure the sixth World Cup win of his career.

Schempp finished 4.4 seconds behind the Slovenia, while Fourcade was 13.3 seconds adrift despite a flawless display on the shooting range.
