Manufacturing output rose 3.6% year-on-year. Mining meanwhile contracted by 4.2% and electricity, gas and steam supply plummeted almost 14%.

The revenue structure shows a similar picture, as manufacturing powered the 4.6% annual increase in industrial revenue.

Manufacturing revenue thus jumped by 5.1%, while mining registered a 0.2% drop in real terms, the figures show.

Inventories dropped 2.1% year-on-year in manufacturing but surged by 28% in mining.
