Maze is still the overall World Cup standings leader, but Saturday's winner Anna Fenninger is breathing down her neck, trail by only 84 points.

Slovenia had a poor showing overall in yesterday's giant slalom, with Ana Drev being the country's only representative in the final run.

Rasto Ažnoh, the head coach of the Slovenian women's Alpine skiing team, expects that the girls will have a better day today. "I always count on Tina Maze. I strongly hope that more than two will make it to the finals."

Some high-profile guests are expected to join thousands of spectators on the Pohorje hill, including President Borut Pahor.

The first run is scheduled at 9:45 AM and the second run at 12:45 PM.
