Ljubljana Among Top Five Cities in Central, Eastern Europe
Ljubljana, which has lingered in the mid-70 range for years, shares the 75th place with Budapest. The two capitals come second among the cities with the best quality of living in Central and Eastern Europe.
Prague leads in 68th place, while Vilnius and Warsaw (both ranked 79th), share the fourth place.
The Austrian capital Vienna remains at the top of the ranking, while the Iraqi capital of Baghdad is still last.
The ranking is based on 39 criteria estimating the quality of life of city residents. The criteria range from education, culture and health to environmental protection.
