Bulc paid a visit to Slovenia over a week ago on Maritime Day. She highlighted at a ceremony in Portorož that the EU was interested in enhancing the role of North Adriatic ports to open the door to industrialisation of central Europe.

She noted that Slovenia was included in one of the nine important corridors in the EU's strategy for a "common European transport area".

In light of this, the planned upgrade of the Koper-Divača rail track is expected to be be discussed today along with the ways to co-finance the project from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).
