Petrol Prices Up 1% Despite Lower Excise Duties

Regular petrol is 1.5 cents dearer at EUR 1.323 a litre and premium is sold at EUR 1.361, up 1.5 cents.

Diesel also went up, but only by 0.1 cents to EUR 1.219 per litre.

On the other hand, heating oil is 0.1 cents cheaper at EUR 0.873 as of Tuesday.

The hike comes despite decision by the government to reduce excise duties motor fuel from EUR 0.515 to EUR 0.503 per litre.

Fuel prices in Slovenia are regulated by the government using a model factoring in wholesale prices and the US dollar. They are adjusted fortnightly.
