Slovenia Gearing Up for 20-Year Euro Bond

The issue would be the first time that Slovenia opts for a 20-year bond. It has previously issued mostly 10- and 15-year bonds.

The move was expected and Finance Minister DuĊĦan Mramor said in Brussels last week the treasury was keeping an eye on the market and would act at the most opportune moment.

An immediate issue would leverage the record low price of borrowing.

With bond yields dropping at a rapid pace over the recent months, the yield on the Slovenian benchmark is now below 0.9%.
