Nekategorizirano

Dylan, one of the music icons of the 20th century, will take the stage with his band on 25 June.

His latest studio album is called "Shadows in the Night" and it includes adaptations of hits such as Autumn Leaves, Some Enchanted Evening, The Night We Called It a Day and I'm a Fool to Want You.

The 73-year old musician sold over 120 million copies of his 36 albums in his career. His immensely popular songs set not only musical but also social standards in the 1960s and he has remained a top musician to date, the organisers of his concert have said.

Robert Allen Zimmerman started his musical career in Greenwich Village and rose to prominence with his second, socially critical album The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan in 1963.

During his career he explored different musical genres and fused them with the English, Irish and Scottish folk music.

He received numerous awards for his work, including 15 Grammy Awards, an Oscar, a Golden Globe Award and a Pulizter Pritze. In 2012, US President Barack Obama decorated him with the highest civilian award in the country, the Medal of Freedom.

Dylan has so far performed in Slovenia three times, in 1991, 1999, and in June 2010, when he impressed the audience with a concert at the Tivoli Hall.
