Slovenia earned 848.4 points in the first round and Austria followed with 805.1 points. Norway is third with 784.0 points and Poland is fourth with 753.8 points.

Tepeš managed the longest jump of the event, touching down at 237.5 metres (237.1 points). Semenič jumped 216 metres (198.2 points), while Kranjec landed at 225 metres (198.7 points) and Prevc managed 218.5 metres (214.4 points).

While conditions were nearly perfect at the start of the first round, gusts of side wind appeared toward the end.

The sunshine that attracted thousands of fans to the Planica Alpine valley today caused some problems for the organisers, who had to shade the in-run part of the hill to prevent it from softening too much.

Tickets for today's event sold out on Thursday, as some 30,000 people from across the country and abroad flocked to Planica.

Tickets are however still available for tomorrow's final event of the season in which Prevc might still win the first place in the overall FIS Ski Jumping World Cup if he wins and his rival Severin Freund of Germany is fourth.
