Share Market Regulator Gets New Boss

Čas, who was nominated by the government, will assume the position on 4 May, taking over from interim director Anka Čadež.

Čadež was named interim head after the term of previous director Damjan Žugelj ended on 11 March.

Čas, who graduated from the Ljubljana Faculty of Law and has completed specialisation in business law, was involved the establishment of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, where he was employed from 1989 to 2006.

He later joined asset management firm Triglav Skladi, where he worked until 2012.

He has participated in the government task forces dealing with privatisation and the drafting of financial laws, according to a government statement.
