Nekategorizirano

The show, conceived at the initiative of the Slovenia-based Forum of Slavic Cultures, was first put on in June 2014 at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris.

It presents carnival traditions from Belarus, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.

Slovenia's tradition is being presented through costumes and customs associated with carnival groups that are recorded in the national registry of living cultural heritage.

The show is accompanied by an exhibition by illustrator Saša Kerkoš focusing on the kurent, the most famous Slovenian carnival costume.
