Tourism Visitors Turnout Up 10% in First Quarter
The number of Slovenian tourists rose by 8% in the first three months of the year, while the number of foreign tourists went up by 10%.
In March alone, Slovenian tourism facilities welcomed 6% more tourists year-on-year, while the number of overnight stays increased by 2%.
In March, 53% of all overnight stays were generated by foreigners, among which a fifth were Austrians. They were followed by Italians (17%), Germans (10%), Croatians (8%) and Serbians (5%).
Meanwhile, the number of Slovenian tourists increased by 3% year-on-year in March. They also generated 1% more overnight stays.
