The first Mission for Growth focused on Euro-Mediterranean countries and food production, with Slovenian companies expressing satisfaction with the events.

More than 500 companies from over 20 countries took part in the first delegation that visited Milan on Wednesday and Thursday, according to Matej Skočir of Slovenia's SPIRIT tourism and investment promotion agency.

Slovenia was represented by air domes maker Duol, the PBS postal bank, Pekarna Pečjak bakery and Algamteknol, an algae analysis company.

This mission will be followed by six more, focusing on China, Latin America, Japan, Sub-Saharan Africa, ASEAN countries and Canada, said Skočir.
