The president will climb the Tromejnik, a 390-metre hill located at the meeting point of the three countries' borders. Each will climb it from his respective country accompanied by children from local schools.

They will address an event organised by three neighbouring national parks, Slovenia's Goričko, Hungary's Raab and Austria's Örseg, the president's office said in a press release.

The presidents want to encourage closer cooperation among Slovenia, Austria and Hungary, especially with a view to preserve natural and cultural resources and to promote sustainable tourism, agriculture and infrastructure.

They will also hold a short meeting at a Slovenian farm in the village of Felsöszölnök in Hungary on the border with Slovenia.
