After meeting business executives of the German federal state of Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart yesterday, the president will today visit Bavaria, the second most important German state for Slovenian exporters.

The purpose of the visit is strengthening political and economic ties and promoting Slovenian high-tech exports.

The president is accompanied by a 25-strong business delegation, including representatives of household appliance maker Gorenje, industrial conglomerate Hidria, port operator Luka Koper and car components manufacturer Cimos.

Promoting green technologies, Pahor drove a Mercedes hybrid in Baden-Württemberg yesterday and will try out a BMW hybrid in Bavaria today.

After visiting BMW headquarters and meeting the management, he is scheduled to meet Munich Mayor Dieter Reiter.
