The organisers highlighted performances by free funk guitar player James Blood Ulmer from United States, the 19-strong ensemble Fire! orchestra from Sweden and Denmark and the Brazilian quartet Bossa Negra.

Jazz lovers will also appreciate the newest project by the acclaimed Belgian orchestra Flat Earth Society, including one of the most legendary rhythmic duets Sly & Robbie and trumpet player Nils Peter Molvaer, the organisers said.

A total of nineteen bands will give concerts at the festival, with Saturday morning offering jazz brunch with children music workshops, music publishers presentations and a jazz flea market.
