The avant-garde music band will present for the first time a part of the programme they will play in North Korea in August, calling for Korean reunification.

The two concerts in Trbovlje will start at 8 PM and 10 PM and will feature their adaptations of some of the famous songs from The Sound of Music musical as well as interpretations of selected Korean songs and anthems.

The concerts will be followed by an catered plenum for all the visitors.

The acclaimed industrial music group will hold the two concerts in North Korea on 19 and 20 August in the Korean capital of Pyongyang.

The concerts will coincide with the 70th anniversary of the Korean peninsula's liberation from Japanese rule and subsequent division into two rival states.

The concerts, at which Laibach will call for Korean reunification, will also be the subject of a documentary film scheduled to premiere in 2016.

The group is known for its critical attitude towards totalitarian regimes, both political and economic.

Its socially-charged interpretation of national and ideological iconography from the 1980s is currently on show as part of a retrospective on the controversial NSK art collective at the Museum of Modern Art in Ljubljana.
