PM Cerar to Meet Execs at Foreign-Owned Companies

The strategic task force at the GZS will bring together representatives of foreign-owned companies with activities in a diverse range of fields and ownership from different parts of the globe.

"The meeting will represent the first formal association of representatives of companies with different geographic origins," the GZS said in an invitation to the event. The participating enterprises have owners hailing from Germany, France, the US, Russia, Egypt, Mexico and Japan.

The aims of the task force, whose maiden meeting will be addressed by Cerar, include helping to promote strong corporate governance, presenting best practice from broad for building a vibrant business environment and identifying means for attracting foreign investment.

Economic cooperation will also be at the centre of a separate meeting of the Slovenian-Russian business club at the GZS which will be attended by Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec.

Erjavec is expected to use the opportunity to meet representatives of Slovenian companies with interests in Russia to discuss developments in the Ukraine crisis and the state of the Russian economy, the Slovenian-Russian business club said.
