There are no reports of major damage or power outages, although a number of roads and cellars have been flooded due to the torrential rain. Around 100 buildings are said to have been affected. Dozens of trees were also downed by strong gusts.

In Koroško several companies face production stoppages due after flash flooding hit their production plants. Among those affected are steel maker Metal Ravne and tooling company Stroj Radlje.

Firefighters are reportedly still helping people in many parts of the region clear up after the turbulent night by pumping out water from cellars and removing felled trees.

The storms have brought some relief from the scorching heat of recent days, however, with highs in Slovenia expected to be in the mid-20s today. The clouds should clear up during the day.
