Popular Beer Festival to Feature Europe, Imbruglia
The festival, which will also mark brewer Pivovarna Laško's 190th anniversary, will feature over 50 music acts from some 17 countries, Laško management member Matej Oset told the press last week.
Celebrating the big anniversary, all festival events will be admission-free, as opposed to the previous years when some of the concerts required an entrance fee.
The Beer & Flowers line-up will cater for the most various music tastes, ranging from the pop-folk ensemble Modrijani, pop rock band Katrina & the Waves to pop singer Nuška Drašček, the Swedish rockers Europe and the 1990s pop star Natalie Imbruglia.
In addition to the evening concerts, visitors will be able to enjoy an exhibition of beer dispensers, a traditional Slovenian wedding and several theatre shows for children.
To bring as many beer lovers to Laško as possible, more trains than usual will be running from Ljubljana and Maribor, while a special train from Croatia's Zagreb will also be organised, Oset has announced.
