Sturm, a German journalist and an expert on racing sports, is a long-time participant of car racing events and has been following the German champion's career since its beginnings.

Her previous publications include biographies of the Brazilian Formula One legend Ayrton Senna and the German F1 star Sebastian Vettel.

The 376-page book, entitled "Michael Schumacher" covers the driver's whole life and also features several testimonies from the champion's close acquaintances, who each offer their own view of him.

The book launch also included Slovenian translator Igor Antič and long-time F1 commentator Miran Ališič, who has also been following Schumacher since his beginnings.

Schumacher is currently recovering from a serious brain injury sustained in a skiing accident in 2013.

According to the latest foreign media reports, the driver is slowly making progress in his recovery, although the chances of a fully recovery are scarce.
