The festival, which will be held in Bled, one of Slovenia's most popular tourist destinations, will feature a total of 18 artists from as far as south Africa, Vietnam and the United States.

The long time programme director of the festival Leo Ličof opted for a varied line up, ranging from the south-African group Abavuki, Polish band Volosi, to Swiss accordion player Nando, Sardine singers Tenores di Bitti and the US blues artist Big Daddy Wilson.

The second part of the festival will be dominated by women vocalists, beginning with the Croatian eccentric diva Josipa Lisac, Irish singer of traditional music Cara Dillon, Spaniard Carmen Paris and the all-women group Simangavole of Reunion Island.

The festival will close the curtains on 9 August with performances of two up and coming vocalists Israeli Ester Rada and Portuguese Gisela Joao.
