Slovenian-Croatian N-Plant Commission Meets after Five Years

Nekategorizirano

The commission, which oversees the implementation of the 2002 bilateral agreement on NEK, last met in 2010, when it discussed the programme for the facility's decommissioning and related funding.

The commission is facing a number of open issues, including joint investments and a joint repository for low and medium radioactive waste in the area of what is the only N-plant in Slovenia and Croatia. It would also debate the 2004 decommissioning plan and a decision to build a second reactor.

The Slovenian and Croatian delegations are also expected to discuss the reasons why the commission does not meet on a more regular basis.
