Football: Slovenia Draw England in 2018 World Cup Qualifications as Well

Slovenia will play in group F, and qualifying matches will be played between September 2016 and October 2017.

The country will be competing for one of the 13 open places available for European sides at the tournament when qualifying play opens in September 2016.

Following a round-robin format of group matches, the nine group winners will advance to the tournament and the eight best runners-up will enter a play-off to decide the remaining four open spots.

The World Cup matches will be played between 14 June 2018 and 15 July 2015 in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samari, Volgograd, Saransk, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi and Yekaterinburg.

- Group A: Luxembourg, Belarus, Bulgaria, Sweden, France, the Netherlands.
- Group B: Andorra, Latvia, Faroe Islands, Hungary, Switzerland, Portugal.
- Group C: San Marino, Azerbaijan, Norway, Northern Island, the Czech Republic, Germany.
- Group D: Georgia, Moldova, Ireland, Serbia, Austria, Wales.
- Group E: Kazakhstan, Armenia, Montenegro, Poland, Denmark, Romania.
- Group F: Malta, Lithuania, Slovenia, Scotland, Slovakia and England
- Group G: Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Israel, Albania, Italy, Spain.
- Group H: Cyrus, Estonia, Greece, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Belgium.
- Group I: Finland, Turkey, Ukraine, Iceland, Croatia.
