Traditional Tripoint Pilgrimage To Be Held for 27th Time

Nekategorizirano

The pilgrimage to Svete Višarje, as Monte Santo di Lussari is called in Slovenian, is organised by Rafaelova družba, an organisation promoting Slovenian and Catholic values among Slovenian expatriates, and the Government Office for Slovenians Abroad.

The pilgrims will first be addressed by Trieste-based publicist Ivo Jevnikar, who will deliver a lecture entitled "70 years after the events that changed all 'three Slovenias'".

The lecture will be followed by a mass at noon, to be celebrated by ex-Archbishop of Ljubljana Alojz Uran together with Slovenian diaspora priests.

The pilgrimage to the tripoint area between the Roman, German and Slavic nations has a particular religious significance, but it has also become an important get-together for Slovenians from all around the world.
