Vivaldi, Tartini and Mozart to Set Tune of Piran Evenings

The opening concert of the 37th edition of Piran Music Evenings will be performed by the chamber string orchestra of the Slovenian Philharmonics and Nika Toškan on violin.

After tonight's event at Tartini Theatre, the festival will feature two more concerts on the following two Fridays, according to Avditorij Portorož, which organizes the event.

Harpist Mojca Zlobko Vajgl will give a concert at the Church of St. Francis of Assisi on 14 August featuring compositions by Händel, Glinka and Debussy, among others.

Slovak musicians Karol Daniš and Magdalena Ondičeva will close the curtain on the festival at the Renaissance Cloister of the Minorite Monastery on 21 August, playing Brahms, Prokofiev and Dvorak.
