Industrial Output Up 4.5% in H1, Slightly Down on Monthly Level
Moreover, the industrial revenue grew by 5.6% between January and June in real terms. A 4.3% increase was recorded in June year-on-year, but a 0.4% drop on the monthly level.
Data show a 5.6% increase in the industrial output index in manufacturing between January and June. A drop was however recorded in the two other industrial activity classes employed by the statisticians.
It was down 5.4% in mining and quarrying and 2.6% in electricity and steam supply.
On the monthly level, the biggest drop in the index was seen in mining and quarrying (-8.1%); electricity and steam supply lost 2.6% and manufacturing was down 0.3%.
Moreover, year-on-year comparison for June shows a 4.1% increase in manufacturing, 1.3% growth in mining and quarrying and a 3.7% drop in electricity and steam supply.
