This year's Overjam Reggae festival will offer quite a few big names, including Gentleman, best known for hits such as Superior, Dem Gone, See Dem Coming and Rainy Days.

The opening night at the confluence of the Soča and the Tolminka will also feature Melloe Mood from Italy, Germany's Jahcoustix and The Evolution and Acsel with The Reggae Rebel Band from Italy.

Until Saturday, the main stage will also see the likes of Capleton, a Jamaican musician known as the "preacher", British tropical rock singer Hollie Cook and Max Romeo, also from Jamaica.

This year's edition will place special emphasis on the Slovenian reggae scene. The acts featured include the band Raggulution, musician Bro and the ska-swing-punk band Red Five Point Star.

The action will be lively on the smaller two stages as well. For the reggae offspring, "Overjam 4 kidz" will provide creative workshops, dance, singing and sports activities.
