The younger brother of NBA point guard Goran Dragić signed a two-year deal with the club, Khimki confirmed on its website on Thursday.

Details of the contract were not immediately available.

The move to Europe comes after the small forward, who is set to lead the Slovenian national team at the upcoming European Championships, failed to secure regular minutes in the NBA last season.

After being traded by the Miami Heat to the Boston Celtics for a second round pick in 2020 in late July, Dragić was released by Boston on Monday.

Brother Goran meanwhile became the best paid Slovenian professional athlete in history as he concluded a five-year deal worth US$90m with the Miami Heat in early July.
