This is the biggest achievement so far for the 25-year-old from Celje, who won silver at the recent European Games in Azerbaijan.

Trstenjak already had one medal from world championships (bronze from Russia's Chelyabinsk in 2014) and two from European championships (silver from Montpellier in 2014 and bronze from Budapest in 2013).

This is also the first gold ever at world judo championships for Slovenia, which now has eight medals total.
