Senior Member Leaves ZaAB Party

His departure would mean the end of what is a deputy group with the minimum number of MPs.

After Peter Vilfan joined the Pensioners's Party (DeSUS) faction in June, the ZaAB deputy group was left with only three members.

Apart from Möderndorfer and party head Alenka Bratušek, the only other member of the group is Mirjam Bon Klanjšček, who is reportedly also being wooed by DeSUS.

Media reports suggest that Möderndorfer is planning to join the deputy group of the ruling Party of the Modern Centre (SMC).

Party head, PM Miro Cerar, neither confirmed nor denied this after party consultations yesterday. He said that the SMC had been informed of a departure from the ZaAB deputy group but would not interfere.
