The Zagreb-Ljubljana-Milan line joins year-round services connecting Zagreb to Munich through Ljubljana, a line between Ljubljana and Trieste and a Ljubljana-Belgrade route.

Arriva, the bus and coach company owned by Deutsche Bahn (DB), also operates several summer services from Ljubljana and Maribor to coastal towns in Croatia, as well as routes connecting the city of Maribor to European cities.

The Zagreb-Ljubljana-Milan line has been dubbed "another milestone in our operation in the region," by CEO of Arriva Deutsche Bahn in Slovenia Bo Erik Stig Karlsson.

A one-way ticket to Milan will cost EUR 39, with the return fare EUR 62. The ticket to Zagreb is EUR 10 one-way and EUR 16 return. The service will include Wi-Fi access and a power outlet for laptops and mobile devices.
