The data does not include messages sent through international roaming, the Statistics Office said.

Outgoing traffic from mobile networks amounted to 66 million hours of national calls last year, about 29 hours per user on average. This is a 4% increase compared to 2013.

Total outgoing traffic from fixed locations declined by 11% to 14 million hours of national calls, about 19 hours per user on average.

The number of mobile network users rose 2% to more than 2.3 million. The number of fixed-line users decreased by 2% to about 730,000.
