Numerous events for children will be organised across the country.

The motto of this year's campaign, coordinated by the Friends of the Youth Association ZPMS since 1954, is "I have something to tell you".

Adults make too many orders, requests and bans, so the Children's Week 2015 is all about urging them to also listen to children, talk to them and encourage them to speak their minds, the president of ZPMS, Darja Groznik, has told the STA.

The week will bring abundance of puppet and theatre performances for children, music and creative workshops, picnics, reading and sporting events.

The National Assembly will meanwhile host an exhibition of children's drawings.

The introductory event - featuring various workshops for children - was held on Saturday in Ljubljana with President Borut Pahor calling on children to speak their minds and express their ideas for a better world.
