Companies slowly increasing use of social media
Some 42% of companies with ten or more employees use social media, up from 39% a year ago.
Social media use is more prevalent among big players (75%) than among smaller firms (39%).
However, medium-sized companies are quickly catching up, as 52% use social media, up from 39% a year ago.
Social networks are the most popular platform, with 41% of Slovenian firms having a profile on networks such as Facebook or Linkedin, up from 37% a year ago.
About 14% use platforms for sharing multimedia content such as Youtube or Flickr, up from 12%.
Only 9% have blogs or Twitter accounts, up a point over a year ago.
Regardless of size, about three-quarters of firms use social media to market products or boost their brand presence.
About half solicit feedback from customers, and a quarter use social media for hiring.
