Similar to the past few years, Slovenia saw significant increases in tourism this year. The figures so far herald another record year, as the number of tourists and overnight stays continued to grow.

Apart from positive results, the trend has however also brought a number if challenges, the Slovenian Tourist Board (STO) has said in a press release ahead of the event.

The STO believes it is not enough to react simply by adapting and copying - the industry needs to reinvent and find new solutions.

Thus the plenary will be addressed by Nadya Zhexembayeva, a business owner specializing in business reinvention, who also teaches at IEDC - Bled School of Management.

Moreover, Economic Development and Technology Minister Zdravko Počivavšek and several top business representatives will participate in a round-table discussion.

The event will mark 20 years of the STO with an evening ceremony, which will also honour this year's greatest achievements in tourism.
