The annual capacity of the Notol 2 plant, whose construction started in 2012, is estimated at 4.5 billion units and is one of the company's biggest projects ever, according to Krka chairman Jože Colarič.

The ceremony will feature high-profile guests including Prime Minister Miro Cerar.

The launch comes just a month after Krka inaugurated a EUR 85m plant for the production of active ingredients in Krško.
