Adria Airways serviced 904,731 in scheduled transport, up 15.1% year-on-year, while the number of passengers in charter flights was up by 5.7% to 185,303.

Cabin occupancy in the first nine months was 69%, two percentage points less than in the same period last year, which is a consequence of the use of larger aircraft, according to the company.

Adria Airways is satisfied with the number of passengers and development of all routes except the Moscow route, which saw a steep decline compared to the first three quarters of 2014.

The company, which is being sold by the state, could not provide its estimate for operating profit for the entire year.

After several negative years, Adria Airways posted a EUR 921,000 in net profit and operating profit of EUR 3m last year, servicing around 1.113 million passengers.

The state-controlled sellers of a combined 91.58% stake in the company announced in early October that they had received several bids for the flag carrier.

Meanwhile, a shareholders' meeting has been called for 23 November which will vote on a proposal for a capital injection of up to EUR 8m. This has raised the question whether a potential buyer will participate in the capital hike.
