President Borut Pahor expressed his deepest condolences and sympathies to his French counterpart Francois Hollande and the French nation, according his Twitter profile.

"Appalled and shocked by deadly attacks in Paris. Our thoughts are with all affected and all France," the Foreign Ministry tweeted in English and French.

France has declared a state of emergency and tightened borders following the assaults. Some 100 people were killed at the Bataclan concert hall.
