Gangnes jumped 98 and 99 metres to score 278.2 points, 1.8 points ahead of Prevc (96.5 and 100.5 m). Johann Andre Forfang rounded off Norway's feat in third (96.5 and 99.5 m, 272.5 points).

Prevc's younger brother, Domen Prevc, placed 12th at today's event.

Peter Prevc also placed second in the World Cup opener in Germany's Klingenthal two weeks ago.

He is currently third in overall World Cup standings with 184 points. Germany's Severin Freund is in the lead with 205 points ahead of Gangnes with 204.
