The annual Persimmon Festival in Strunjan at the seaside will see local growers sell crates of this orange fruit and offer many delicacies made from it.

Visitors will be able to take part in free guided tours of the Strunjan Landscape Park or in workshops where they will learn about how to grow, use and dry persimmons.

The biggest persimmon will be picked in a competition with live music at the venue on Friday and Saturday evening. Admission is free.
