The 9th Baroque Music Festival at the Slovenian Philharmonic will see three concerts featuring works by the great Baroque masters Francesco Geminiani, Antonio Vivaldi, Tomaso Albinoni and Georg Friedrich Händel.

The series will open with Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, performed by up-and-coming artists, violinist Patricija Avšič and cellist Klara Avšič. The concert will also hear compositions by Geminiani and Albinoni.

Italian conductor Federico Maria Sardelli will come to Ljubljana to conduct the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra at the Händel Gala concert on 19 January, featuring mezzosoprano Sophie Gallagher.

The Slovenian Philharmonic Choir will join the conductor and the orchestra to perform Vivaldi's sacral music at the third concert, titled For Virtuosi.
