Six Slovenian craft breweries will open their doors to visitors, organise workshops and tastings during the Craft Beer Week, which will culminate with Beer & Burger Fest in Ljubljana's Pogačar Square on 25 and 26 May.

The breweries Pivovarna Pelicon, Green Gold Brewery, Bevog, Maister Brewery, Reset Brewery and Tektonik will hold open day on 16 May where visitors will be able to see how they make their beer.

The rest of the week will see pop-up tastings and workshops, as well as a number of fun and educational events.

The breweries and the team behind the Beer & Burger Fest, which organise the event, say that beer is becoming part of haute cuisine. "We want to enthuse the general public about this aspect of beer and create awareness of the added value of Slovenian beer, which has also found its place on the menus of top restaurants," they added.
