Lighting Guerilla festival

May 24 - Jun 22

A series of light installations and video projections will be on display in public and gallery spaces in the centre of Ljubljana for the 18th international Lighting Guerilla festival.

This year the works on display reflect and deal with various aspects of change or transformation in the environment and people's lives both at the level of form as well as in the context of the space or at the level of the viewer's perception.

The site-specific installations in particular will transform the locations into spaces of boundless imagination and aesthetic contemplation, the organizers say.

The locations include the Vžigalica Gallery (The Match Gallery), where an exhibition will be on display until 1 September, and outdoor spaces in the vicinity.

One section extends from the gallery in the French Revolution Square via Soteska and Vegova Street to the north, all the way to the Small Gallery of the Bank of Slovenia or Argentinian Park, while the other section extends via Foerster Garden and Mirje to the embankments of the Gradaščica River.

Free guided bike tours of the sites will start from the Vžigalica Gallery every Wednesday and Saturday during the festival.
