The 29th Slovenian Book Days, an annual series of literary events, are taking place in 13 Slovenian cities and in Trieste, Italy.

The heart of this year's festival is the book fair, held at the Lili Novy Garden in Ljubljana. The festival is also taking place in Maribor, Murska Sobota, Ormož, Brežice, Slovenske Konjice, Celje, Novo Mesto, Škofja Loka and Koper, as well as Ptuj, Hrastnik, and Gornja Radgona.

The programme was prepared by the Slovenian Writers' Association in collaboration with PEN Slovenia, the Slovenian literary critics association, the Slovenian literary translators association and Slovenia's public fund for cultural activities.

As part of the festival, the Charles Nodier Award for best translation from French into Slovenian will be given out on 8 June.
