Jun 15 - Jun 22
Kranj

Several well-known actors from abroad will visit the northwestern city of Kranj for the 4th Krafft film festival, the only festival in the country organised by film professionals.

Turkish actor Taner Rumeli has selected ten films for the competition programme, many of which have been nominated for or won awards at major festivals.

One of the highlights will be Turkish TV series and several actors known to Slovenian fans have been invited to the festival, according to Maja Sever, the festival's programme director and vice-president of the Screen Actors Guild of Slovenia (DSI).

A total of 15 feature films will be screened in the accompanying programme, including Turkish and Slovenian films starring DSI awards winners, along with short films. There will also be talks, concerts and workshops.

Zlatko Burić, the protagonist of the Danish trilogy Pusher, and Swedish actor Jakob Cedergren, who starred in Submarino and in Terribly Happy, are expected in Kranj for the festival.

Both are coming as part of ReActing as a Star, a programme launched in 2022 to foster links between actors in the region and European casting directors, agents and directors with a view to having more actors from the region play in European films.
